Hormonal birth control for guys is still far, far away
We’re big fans of new birth control options for guys . So when stories about birth control breakthroughs for men crop up from time to time, we get excited…for a minute.
Then we realize that these methods are in a super, super early phase of research . The good news is that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is pretty darn thorough about testing new treatments before they’re available to the masses. The bad is that the process takes time. So if a new drug or technology is still being tested in trials with mice, you can assume it’s gonna be a while before it’s available for humans. We’ll check back in 20 years!
